Clarence Cassell, 93, Rutherford

RUTHERFORD, N.J.-- Clarence "Casey" Cassell, 93, a Rutherford resident for 50 years, died Nov. 22.

Born in Bayonne, Cassell was a World War II Navy veteran who served on the USS South Dakota. He was an electrical supervisor with Glaxo Smith Kline in Clifton for many years.

Cassell was the beloved husband of the late Doris (née Beck) Cassell, who predeceased him in 1990; the loving father of Barbara Patire and her husband Charles; Roger Cassell and his wife Pamela; Cherie Shaw and her husband Terry; and Richard Cassell; the devoted grandfather of Debbie, Christopher, Jason, Heather,B rittany, Jonathan,and Ryan; and the great-grandfather of Jack and Matthew.

The funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Macagna Diffily Onorato Funeral Home, 41 Ames Ave., Rutherford. The interment will be a George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
